When you have 5000-7000sqft plot then you have scope to experiment many things but with such a small plot of 1500sqft what you do that makes you real architect... Kudos to your work and all the architects who converts small space to beautiful n comfy homes....
Bigger spaces aren’t easy to build either. Sometimes they can be intimidating if left too much space, and care needs to be taken to make the house warm, cozy and inviting. That said, building in such a small area is equally as hard, if not harder, and these guys have done a great job of it.
An absolute masterpiece ... how could someone's mind be so beautiful...to ultimately bring such house into reality which anybody would love to call a HOME.
This is such a beautiful home, the design feels warm and calm the natural colours makes you feel in nature. It has everything that I love. Congratulations
This is the best RUclips channel I ever found as I am an Architecture Student It explains so much about how to create design and establish a space ....
In just 1500sq ft , a house with plenty of light air ventilation space for free movement is just amazing!!!!! Must be a challenge to the entire architect / engineering team . ಅಂಬರ has really touched the sky .
plenty of natural light give a feeling of warmth, cheerfulness and positive feelings. great design to have that with limited space and surrounded by house on 3 sides
How beautiful! Who would have thought that a 1500 sqft home in a random street in Bangalore can be so gorgeous and mindful! Can I have a home like this plsss?
Home is a place to unwind, where one would want to have no pretences, here the architect has filtered the space with natural sunlight and air, by using local raw materials giving the whole house a rustic feeling. They have combined both traditonal and modern elements, to help the inmates stay comfortably without being cluttered or pompous, kudos to the Team ..
This is soothing. 1500 sqft is quite challenging to attain a uniqueness while making things functional to the relevancy of living. And this architecture makes every bit of the soul to live fulfilled.
Wright Inspires and Prathima Seethur , i have been following since 15 years and their work and approach towards nature is very sustainable & Eco-friendly.
Here's my take 1. narrow spiral staircase without an intermediate landing is too uncomfortable to climb provided it connects all the floors. Also moving furniture up/down is not practical enough. 2. The pillar near the entrance could have been avoided to accommodate decent car parking. 3. open kitchen is the western concept. I believe the kitchen should be enclosed as we don't want tadka fragrance/smoke to linger in the whole house.
The spiral staircase does connect all the floors & is of decent width. As for taking items upstairs, it is a one time requirement & can be practically achieved as large items like bed or cupboards are always in knocked down conditions and they are not changed in decades. As for kitchen being open, I really embrace such design as it makes us see a large volume of space when we enter the home. Also it's a fact that everyone at home feels connected as no one misses out on any conversation. What you say about the aroma of food is correct but a right kitchen exhaust can do wonders. To be honest I love my palette to be teased with the aroma of food that is being prepared. For an enclosed space the architect has done wonders by bringing in light through the spiral staircase which adds to the drama. The basement of the house was not covered well and also the car park area. What I liked about the design the most was curved organic transition in a regular rectangular plot.
Everything in this world is curved, by default no where in nature can we see corners (box shaped structure). That's y this place looks beautiful with curves. and ofcourse the sunlight, due to work from home it's important to get enough sunlight in our body. As for the open kitchen, an exhaust fan or chimney is enough, and it's true people help when it's an open kitchen also you can watch tv while cooking. I would have probably added some swings here.
Very nice and functional design for the small plot size. Care of ensuring privacy taken care of well. Also materials choice is very good, which require less maintenance and will age gracefully. Very minimalist not overdone.
I really loved the design. Not very tachyy and full of luxurious items which are very common to see these days. This house gives a sense of peaceful living and relaxation. A true home in every sense. I will always choose such a home apart from luxurious furniture /elements filled modern home. 🥺
Absolutely love it! Would love to know the construction cost for this home including the materials and the time needed to build it! Thanks and God bless! You brought hope and smile to my face that homes in a big city can still be so airy and with so much of natural light!❤️keep you the great work!
Very elegant design. The one thing that I felt little awkward is the overdose of wood & brick colour in the bedroom at 5:41. My idea is if one use wooden floors at least the ceiling should be left to white/natural concrete colour. But it appears the floor, the walls and the ceiling all 3 has a dash of wood colour which appears a bit excessive and gives a feeling of log cabin. Just my opinion. It still executed well. but felt would've better if ceiling has been left out in natural concrete or white colour. Not just here but in entire house.
The whole concept and it's realisation has a very optimistic feel about it ... a celebration of life ... in the midst of our daily busy lives which is easy to forget ... I am sure the house would look gorgeous too under moon light and minimalist electric lights ... Fingers crossed that nobody builds obnoxious flats/4-5 storeyed buildings in the adjacent plots ... I am a sore victim of that adversity - ruined my view of the west from my windows and my roof ☘️
We are all victims of this stupid flat culture. Five 21-storey apartments came up all around our independent house which was built by my father in the early 90s and completely ruined the environment around the house. We used to live in a beautiful neighborhood full of greenery, big trees, dogs, cats, birds, chickens, goats and cows back in the 90s. After 2005, everything started to change. Promoters started buying up empty plots all around us and even acquired plots with existing houses. Then they started building flats all around us. It was still ok as the initial flats were just 3 storey builder flats. After 2010, the monstrous and ugly 21-storey apartment blocks started coming up and it took 12 years to finish the construction. It killed all our peace of mind with construction noise 24x7x365. We could not even sleep at night as they illegally kept construction work going all through the night. Pollution levels well through the roof. Not a single tree is left anywhere in our entire neighborhood. It's such a horrible and ugly sight with concrete everywhere. After enduring this torture for many years and seeing my entire neighborhood destroyed, I destroyed to leave everything behind and shift to a rural village where I built a house of my own. Now I am happily living here for the last 3 years. See once you have grown up mother nature, you cannot live without her. People born and brought up in cities may not understand my sentiments.
Really nice and earthy feel brought in!! Front facade and some interior elements could have been a little different, but that's dependent on individual taste!! Nice and original!!

True.
Well most of the Indian middle class families live in or under 70gaj that's 623sqft. 1500 sq ft is still bigger space.

Nothing wrong with a log cabin. Infact it's far better than drab white so called modern interiors we see today with false ceilings and down lights.
Real art is managing all this in smaller plot area
This is REALLY clever.

Love this house. Everything about it is perfect.

I like to have plants indoor, but you need to have good natural light, for healthy growth of Plants.
Do you only design and give plans or also execute the plan?.. Plz let me know as I'm worried about the finish?
